Originally scheduled to be the second Funkadelic '45, ‘Can’t Shake It Loose’ was cancelled before its release. The song had been a single (and Northern Soul classic) by Pat Lewis, whilst the Supremes had recorded it for Motown. It’s fascinating to hear Funkadelic's treatment. That was released here on 45 for the first time. It is backed by one of the great breakbeats Funkadelic’s actual second single ‘I’ll Bet You’. The opening break sounds amazing on this newly mastered 45.
