Possibly the most significant album by the American experimental trumpeter Jon Hassell, whose instrument here glides and soars over a tapestry of ambient keyboard textures/percussion. He was the creator of a musical aesthetic that he termed "Fourth World" drawing on minimalism, Asian and African traditions, and electronics to create new, and very influential, dreamscapes.
