(17/45) "Hawthorne Blvd" is a wonderfully cheery jazz-funk number, somehow sound tracking every sunny morning across LA or a the West Coast; its exuberant optimism difficult to ignore and should ably kick start any dance. "Pacemaker" sees a massive, feel-good boogie lick, expanded and improvised on as big timpani rolls incite movement across one of the most solid guitar and bass interchanges you'll hear all week! Seriously, don't sleep on this B-side - absolutely huge!
