Scottish musician RJ McConnell once composed the soundtrack for ‘The Vale’, an independent short horror film set in Istanbul that eventually never got made. Similar to his regular album work as Everyday Dust, McConnell uses time stretching effects here to turn whistles, harmoniums and piano strings into a creaking, evocative score.
