In this offering by the Berlin-based but made in the Middle East label Disco Halal, we taste something fresh from Tel Aviv. After releases on Rothmans, and CDA, Naduve's returns to home turf accompanied by Saturn Memories' (Marius of Coma) special Tahini remix. Naduve bursts out the blocks with the Middle Eastern space disco of "Ready Set Go", a killer combination of fluid, microtonal synth licks, shoulder rolling rhythms and tripped out minimal style fx. If you're a fan of Lindstrom & Prins Thomas' "Turkish Delight" or vintage Villalobos, this should hit the spot. On remix duties Saturn Memories throws us a curveball, straightening out the rhythm section while liberally upping the wonk-factor in the synth department. The result is a dark and edgy bit of new wave inspired house in line with those creepy LDDLM records and underground electronic fringes of 80s Europe. The flipside opens with the traditonal chants, frenetic rhythms and pinprick keys of "10k From Essaouira", a slamming excursion into the heart of the Middle East via Rimini's pulsating Italo beat. We bow out with the acid-tinged sine waves, hypnotic sequences and percolating rhythms of "The Race For The Handshake"
