Known as El Rey de la Cumbia, Landero had that rare ability to make the accordion feel raw, hypnotic and completely dancefloor-ready. This one is all about the rolling rhythm, the call-and-response feel, and that unmistakable sabanero swing. Proper Colombian cumbia with weight behind it.\r\n\r\nOn the flip, Afrosound take on Manu Dibango’s “Soul Makossa” and send it straight from Colombia’s northern coast. Where the original is already a landmark Afro-funk groove, Afrosound bring their own Colombian flavour to it: fuzzed-out guitar, tropical percussion and loose psychedelic touches and that brilliant energy that made their records so special. A track that when we heard Hugo “Crucial Juice” spin, we knew we had to reissue.","brand":"ANDRES LANDERO Y SU CONJUNTO \/ AFROSOUND","offers":[{"title":"NM \/ M \/ Panorama \/ PAN016","offer_id":57656213111157,"sku":"420351","price":13.99,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0223\/4339\/files\/image_2234942.jpg?v=1792066023","url":"https:\/\/www.vinylexchange.co.uk\/products\/andres-landero-y-su-conjunto-afrosound-la-pava-congona-soul-makossa","provider":"Vinyl Exchange","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
