Atlanta vocalist Jill Rock Jones leads the charge with a gutsy, full-bodied delivery that nods to the fierce funk of Lyn Collins and Vicki Anderson without losing her own vibe. Flip it over for Vinnie D'Agostino's sax-led instrumental, a groove-first take that lets the melody do the talking. A neat pairing of vocal fire and horn-driven funk that makes this a crucial 45.
