(1646) Firecracker's first EP gets a long overdue repress. Side-A, "Miles Away" is a sweet deep soulful house number with Colin Steele on the horn and Joseph Mailik with the vocals. Over on side-B first up is Fudge Fingas "Gettin' Together", an ace Theo / KDJ style beatdown house number with a Marvin Gaye vocal sample. Last up is the family-less Linkwood with "Fate", which again takes an old soul sample and wraps it around a nice deep piano house number. For fans of that late 90's Detroit house sound.
