(21/46) A definitive Star Creature Sound LP, this one hits all corners - Super classy, electronic proto-jazz funk. SC breaking more new and unknown artists here. Philadelphia's own M. Hook has some serious chops, most notably the bass riffs throughout. The well-arranged, cinematic builds climaxin' and relaxin' in calming simplicity. The ingredients of this record alone would surely win it at least 1 Michelin Star. The flavors are developed, refinded yet undefinable. Is it Acid Jazz? Boogie? Deep House? Funk? I'm not sure, this beyond a DJ record, easy repeat listen. Maybe best summed up by label found Tim Zawada: "This might be my favorite Star Creature record yet, have listened to it at least 100 times, no joke"
