French imprint Macadam Mambo introduces London DJ Rutes. A 12" that ranges from exotic esoteric Dance, sleazy New Wave, Brutal Minimal Synth to Dubby Post-Punk. 'Dance Exotique', marries Indian vocals, tablas and chimes and is every bit as Balearic as it sounds. "Why Don't You?" offers an Acid tinged Dub-discoid New Wave attack. 'Tick Tack' features derranged Euro style vocals and 'Bi Bop A Lula' reworks a Post Punk groover from East Germany, extending the killer instrumental sections. 'Moment Metal' is an emotive, uplifting, end of night winner. A killer groove, amazing synthwork, indecipherable vocoded vocals and a massive chorus - what more could you want?
