Crossing borders of different genres & cultural spheres, Yor Kultura deliver a superb EP on The Magic Movement. On the "Lotus" EP, Yor Kultura reveals a more melodic side of their musical realm. Gritty synth lines, strong percussion work and rolling basses invoke the spirits of places not yet discovered as we take a sonic route similar to that of the McKenna brothers' famous Amazonian expedition. While the three original tracks wallow in the paradisiacal exotica of their native terrain, Mehmet Aslan takes "Willow" out of the rainforest and onto the rolling plains, on horseback, for a galloping cosmic disco finale to ride off into the sunset. Imaginative and evocative music here from all involved.
