The second instalment from the fledgling Contrafact label welcomes a hotly tipped newcomer from that always vital musical city, Chicago. She serves up a selection of lush deep house tunes that are seductive from the off. The opener is a shuffling groove with a fine sprinkling of toms and tight baseline. 'Spirit Dance' has frothing drums and a nice tonal baseline that rides up and down the scale while 'Fly Birdy' then sinks into a heady world of swirling pads, bird calls, pianos and locked in beats and bass. Last of all is 'Monlade,' another warm and balmy cut from this must-watch producer.
