(18/07) Harry Wolfman joins the Outplay family for a fun-packed four tracker of upfront house business. Kicking off with "Hitch", a warm and dusty groover driven by Rhodes, a rubbery bassline and a squashed kick. Beatdown and backroom orientated, this is heads down, dancing with your eyes closed tackle. "Pigs In Blankets" is next, tipping its hat to the new boogie revival as it deploys mid-tempo drums and low filtered hooks to a proper shoulder dropped beat. The track incorporates 80's style samples with some excellent synth and chord work, perfect for that all-important warm up slot! The wigged out and wobbly, "Nemoto" opens side B, characterized by head mangling synth swirls and nagging synth strings, this is one of those track's that'll always turn heads in the session! Finally, to ease things off, "STS-136 (Final Call)" comes in at a slow 88 BPM as a perfect closure to the EP. Dreamy pads, piano licks and a calming marimba melody all join forces to conjure up a moment of coastal serenity or bedtime fun.
