A quintessential Roots Reggae issue, famously produced by the legendary Lee "Scratch" Perry at his newly opened Black Ark studio in the mid-1970s. A brilliant and slightly surreal reworking of a track Byles had previously recorded in 1970 with his vocal group The Versatiles, this version features Byles delivering biting, bitter lyrics over a stuttering rhythm. Adding to its unique charm, the backing vocals were recorded by Lee Perry's young children, Omar and Marcia, creating a beautifully haunting contrast between the heavy lyrical themes and the sweet, innocent harmonies.
