Large Music venture chez Chicago with a deep house gem, offering up the first ever reissue of David Brown's 1994 cut 'Feel Love'. "Don't you know..." is the vocal strapline on this honking classic, repeating a grand old eight or so times before extending the sample in a clever vocal science trick: "... I feel the heat?" Produced by Sherman Rogers and Darren Brandon of Black Ice Productions, the track channels the raw undersoil warmth of the city's early 90s scene, where hypnotic drum programming, rounded synths and Brown's yearning vocal provide a kind of sound superinsulation. The 12" packs heavyweight remix talent: Ralphi Rosario, Hot Mix 5 alumnus and house originator, injects peak-time drive on his Vox Mix and stripped-back Vox Dub, while Derrick Carter and Chris Nazuka, as Red Nail, work a taut, analogue-streaked Dub. Sherman Rogers adds his own Underground Mix, bringing it full circle.
