Modern Nature’s Jim Wallis and guitarist and painter Nick Goss have combined to make ‘Pool’. The album was inspired by Nick Goss’s time as artist in residence on a tanker out at sea. Goss captured field recordings on the ship, including bleeps, whistles and samples of the diverse languages spoken on board. These field recordings have been combined with ambient music and guitar loops to create a peaceful and atmospheric soundscape.
