(25/40) Jon Jones' recently inaugurated Love Universal label continues its fine early form, with this inspired outing from long-serving Brooklynite Ge-Ology following much-check missives from DJ Nature and K Smooth Da Programma. Operating in the blurry middle ground between organic deep house and 21st century jazz-funk, Ge-Ology's two-track missive is another genuine musical treat. His original demo mix of 'Nomadic Disorientation', a thickset but quietly breezy deep house number laden with additional Latin percussion hits and woozy chords, sits on side B, with his revised LP version - from an album due, we think, in 2026 - opening proceedings. That's a genuinely dazzling beast, largely thanks to some exceptional and intergalactic-sounding synth solos from the UK broken beat legend Kaidi Tatham.
