(2438) There has been a lot of chatter in recent times about the growing strength of Mexico's electronic music underground. One of the first Mexican producers to break through, almost a decade ago, was Guillermo Gonzalez Santana AKA Hotmood. He continues to deliver high-grade dancefloor gear, as this Sounds of Style label debut proves. It boasts two original productions: 'Baby Come Down', a squelchy and sample-rich slab of detailed disco/house fusion, and the funkier, chunkier and more excitable disco-house bump of 'Disco Lady'. The latter is given a more loose-limbed, US garage-influenced filter house makeover by Natural Rhythm, while the mighty DJ Sneak turns 'Baby Come Down' into a loopy, bumpin' chunk of disco-fired peak-time deepness in his now trademark style.
