A pioneer of Bebop, Max Roach went onto work with many musicians Coleman Hawkins, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, Stan Getz and more. A seminal set stretching out towards the directions Max Roach would explore fully on Candid, Impulse, and Fantasy labels in the 1960's. Group members include Booker Little, George Coleman, Ray Draper, and Art Davis.
