Two years after his last outing, Periodica Records regular Milord (real name Enrico Fierro) makes a welcome return to the Napoli-based imprint. The four-track EP combines the artist's love for deep, nostalgic jazz-funk/Adriatic synth-funk fusion with a heavy dose of sun-baked Balearica and more than a few nods to obscure Italia synth-pop records of the early 1980s. On side A, the leisurely and summery shuffle of 'Living in the City' - all eyes-closed soft rock sax solos, undulating synth-bass, dreamy chords and minimal beats - is followed by the jaunty and colourful electrofunk revivalism of 'Perfect Crime'. He doffs a cap to jazz-funk crew Dayton and late '80s garage-house on the gorgeous 'To The Music', while 'You Make Me Feel' is a more thick-set 80s electrofunk chugger with added funk-rock guitar licks.
