(17/33) The A side houses "Day Come Through" a melancholic bitter-sweet hymn crafted from the crumbled mechanics of Detroit techno, the soul of New York house and, imperatively via the rain-soaked streets of Manchester - you can almost hear the puddles splashing through the music on this one! On the flip "Largo" is a crisply rendered, carefully constructed track with rasping breakbeats, undulating synth licks and dubbed out pads, making for a frenetic and encompassing track perfectly suited to the warm up or the backroom. Finally "Raspberry Toast", featuring the handsome guitar work of Begin is a beautiful, euro-beat inspired homage to the sun-soaked Mediterranean (or Adriatic surely?). Poised but powerful, with that controlled throb and high definition aesthetic, it's the kinda track you'll be gagging to hear firing out of the speaker stacks at your favourite all night beach party.
