Rio de Janeiro's Onda Boa continues its mission of unearthing and reworking forgotten Brazilian gems, this time with founder Joutro Mundo reviving Netinho's 1982 cut 'Du Du Du Domingo'. Netinho, once drummer for beat pioneers Os Incriveis and later the hard rock outfit Casa das Maquinas, shifted gears in the 80s under the banner of Amor e Caridade, channelling funk, pop-rock and spiritual energy. 'Du Du Du Domingo', originally dictated to him via his medium, is both breezy and devotional, an ode to Sunday respite. Joutro Mundo's edits sharpen the groove - the 45 version neat and punchy, the extended mix giving the bassline room to glide. A vital reissue bridging Brazil's psychedelic past with its dancefloor present.
