If there is one song that can withstand another trip around the block, it is Roberta Flack's 'Back Together Again'. Here, British vocalist Sarah Jane Morris and Italian soul man Mario Biondi revisit the 1980 favourite with the help of Italian production duo Micky More & Andy Tee, who understand the value of resisting the temptation to meddle too much with the original. Their version keeps the song's warmth intact whilst nudging it towards contemporary dancefloors through polished disco rhythms and a richly arranged backing. Morris and Biondi share vocal duties, each bringing their own character to a composition that has lost none of its appeal. The accompanying radio edit trims things down neatly but the full version remains the main attraction. This is a tasteful tribute to a soul classic.
