Another moment of classic disco tweaked, extended and generally fucked with by the master splicer - Ron Hardy. In its original form "No Way Back" its a midtempo disco-rock groover, built around gently picked guitar licks, dreamy keys and a funky b-line - with bursts of brass included for maximum pomp.
Ron Hardy takes it to the Muzic Box - more than doubling its duration and twisting it far away from its original theme. Not only is the tempo increased, the elements he chooses are sure to send any casual listener spiraling into the speaker stacks in complete abandon. What I really, really, like though is the lyrics perfectly describe the state of the Muzic Box's devoted dancers - for many: there is simply no way back!
