Cindy’s debut album I’m Cindy is a surreal pop odyssey produced by Kai Hugo (a.k.a. Palmbomen II), the artist who first conjured her into existence. What began as a fictional character in his 2015 track ‘Cindy Savalas’ has grown into a full world — one explored through the subsequent Memories of Cindy project and now fully realised in this record. Featuring vocals and co-creation from Blue LoLan, I’m Cindy occupies a hazy space between Italo disco and shoegaze, with echoes of Cocteau Twins and Slowdive drifting through its blurred synths and soft, melancholic melodies. Across thirteen tracks, Hugo and LoLan use Cindy as a vessel for shared emotion — nostalgia, loneliness, and fragile beauty rendered in flickering neon and mist.
