(2643) Jeroen Search doesn't need much introduction. The Dutch producer has been making sharp, machine-funk techno since the mid-90s, and since 2017 has also worked as Echelon. It is a project that behaves like a secret and, according to its own Axis Records notes, officially doesn't exist. After The Five Eyes on Jeff Mills' label, the project lands on Voyager with an eight-tracker of experimental future techno with nothing off limits. It's often sparse and moody, with extraterrestrial signals in place of the usual four-four push, plenty of evocative imagery and a quiet, strange yet deep sense of atmosphere.
