(2532) For those who didn't get the memo, Musica De Baleares is an offshoot of Newcastle disco re-edit outlet Hot Biscuit dedicated to reworks of tracks of a more Balearic nature. Rahaan handled release number one, successfully reworking a Talking Heads gem; this time round, Idjut Boy Dan Tyler - under the NAD alias - is the scalpel and space-echo wielding edtor at the controls. He delivers typically dubbed-out and picturesque takes on two Spanish language gems. On side A, he adds tape delay and reverb to the gorgeously loved-up, synth-sporting shuffle of 'Double Amor', making it even more loved-up, jazzy and sun-baked. Over on the flip, he sprinkles his echo-laden magic across a more familiar slab of tactile, summer-ready Balearic synth-pop - an early release from one of pop's most enduring global megastars.
