(17/42) "What Is Love?" takes some disco-informed piano hooks and fuses them to tight and bubbly house beats. Exuberant and smiley from start to finish it's hot like an Indian Summer but with a cool coastal breeze. "Southern Exposure" deploys rich Salsoul-patented string lines to an upbeat disco groove, full of cowbells, palm muted guitars, ride cymbals etc. A brilliant, 'ah-ah' vocal hook adds the icing to the cake as the vibing rhythm section lock right into the pocket. "Grand St Blues" is a deep, summery, organ led jam not a million miles away from Pender Street and Jack J and certain to cause excitement amongst the Dekmantel / Dimensions massives. Following another well forged interlude (which samples Dexter Wansel's "The Sweetest Pain") we're thrown into final track: "Fool Moon". A bustling disco-house hybrid with more cowbell, filtered hooks and upbeat aesthetic, topping off this wide-eyed EP modern dancefloor finesse perfectly.
