"This box can claim to be a milestone in the history of recorded music, as the first set of all Haydn's symphonies on CD from a single conductor (Antal Dorati) and orchestra (Philharmonia Hungarica). Conducting and playing are both excellent and remarkably consistent, bearing in mind the discs were recorded over several years. The same can be said of the 1970s recording quality, which stands up very well today...". 1996 remaster.

Box has some corner wear and scuffs but is still a solid VG.
