Originally laid down in 1979 but kept in the vaults for decades, this track captures a crucial crossover moment between Jamaican DJ royalty and the foundational UK reggae scene. The A-side features legendary Jamaican toaster I-Roy vocalizing in a heavy U.K. Rockers style over deep production by British dub maestro Dennis Bovell. The instrumental backing was supplied by members of seminal UK reggae bands Aswad and Matumbi. Though recorded in the late 70s, the track was finally given a fresh mix in 2020 at Mad Professor’s famous Ariwa Studio in London (assisted by Joe Ariwa) and released on an Italian imprint as a highly limited collector's pressing with a wicked dub version on the flip side.
