Satie was a great master in making fun of anything that wanted to be more.The eighth part of Steffen Schleiermacher's series with the piano works of John Cage is a Hommage à Satie. Some of the programmed works came directly from Satie's music. For example, Cage adapted Satie's Socrate into Cheap Imitation, in order to avoid copyright problems. The CD also includes In a Landscape and the Suite for Toy Piano (played here in the version for piano)
