'The Sum of Our Wounds' is a revelatory collection of raw, DIY early cassette experiments from Martin Rev - half of legendary NYC synth-punk pioneers Suicide. The recordings span from 1973-85, the earliest of which pre-dates the release of the debut Suicide album by four years. It's possible to hear the ideas Rev would later put into practice alongside Alan Vega, utilizing rudimentary emerging technology to further electrify and rewire rock 'n' roll, imbued with the spirit and energy of New York City.
