(26/42) Detroit icon and space music obsessive Jeff Mills, under his Millsart alias, continues the Axis Expressionist Series with another chapter drawn from his Every Dog Has Its Day project alongside new unreleased material. This isn't dancefloor techno in the usual sense - it's built for reflection rather than raving and is a meditation this time on hype itself: how it works as a kind of psychological currency, how fleeting attention gets mistaken for lasting substance and how quickly people move from believer to revisionist, chasing that first rush again. True to the series' whole ethos, Mills treats electronic music here as a vehicle for storytelling across dense, thoughtful sounds meant for those with attention spans too many people seem to lack these days.
