(2532) The naturally shadowy Funtown imprint has previously kept schtumm about the re-editors behind the disco revisions it offers up. This time round, they're not being quite so coy. You see, this double-pack boasts typically dubbed-out and mind-altering reworks from the mighty N.A.D - AKA Dan Tyler of Idjut Boys fame. There's much to admire across the six tracks on show, from the gorgeous, gospel-style piano intro and sun-splashed, synth bass-propelled midtempo grooves of the fantastic 'Get Real', to the effects-laden, horn-heavy disco-funk hustle of 'General Hospital' and the low-slung, echo-laden disco-rock grittiness of 'Gamma Ray Rock'. Elsewhere, you'll find Idjuts-style dub disco tweaks of a Larry Levan fave ('Italian Airlines') and a Tom Browne classic much-loved by hip-hop DJs ('Funk Jam') and some metronomic, low-tempo, disco-era rap ('Oooh Chukka').
