(17/04) The first album proper for the label, we're seeing digi reggae vibes explored and expanded with aplomb! Riddim Research Lab is an alias for UK producers Gordon Brown Jr and DJ Neeet - discovered here by Russian wonderkid, Lay-Far. One of those wonderful moments of musical serendipity, it was through a chance meeting in the 'dub' section of a London record shop that put Lay-Far in touch with the, then-in-the-shadows producers. Now presented to the world via Gamm (and with much more scheduled for release in the future), a playful mixture of modern beats with deep roots and dub influences, all heavily processed in an old-fashioned manner with plenty of political and social observations scattered throughout (usually in the form of AM radio snippets)
