Segun Damisa, leader of the group Afrobeat Crusaders, worked with the real greats of Afrobeat, including Fela, King Sunny Ade, Tony Allen and Femi Kuti. After taking part in several world tours as a percussionist, he decided to form his own group. This album was recorded in Chris Birkett's studio with Segu's friend Manu Dbango heard playing alto sax on one of the tracks. This is a pure product of Afrobeat, combining jazz and soul with the rhythms of juju and high life but sadly, it was Segun's last recording as he died suddenly during the production of this marvellous album.
