Suzy and the Red Stripes was a pseudonym for the band Paul McCartney and Wings. The only release by Wings under that name was this single written and sung by Linda McCartney entitled "Seaside Woman", which was backed by "B-Side to Seaside." According to an 1974 interview with Linda, she wrote the song during a McCartney family visit to Jamaica in 1971 "when ATV was suing us saying I was incapable of writing, so Paul said, 'Get out and write a song.'" It was recorded by Wings during the Red Rose Speedway sessions in 1972. The B-side was recorded in January 1974, consisting of "some chords I wrote in Africa, and we just talk over it.
