During a very brief phase in 1997 some Happy Hardcore tracks started to take things backwards by adding elements of Drum & Bass. Devotion is the first track to start the trend. The ultimate Helter Skelter anthem. A pitch-perfect female vocal over pianos and a 4/4 kick followed by the classic 'like a maniac!' rap vocal over the top of those rolling drum n bass beats.
