"For Promontional Use Only". Disc 1 & 2 of the commercial release box set In Concert Shows from The Rainbow Theatre & The Hippodrome Theatre, Golders Green. Tracks on CD2 differ from commercial release. Wraparound insert for each sleeve in single plastic double sleeve. The release is collated from BBC-owned Kinks recordings that still exist in the archive, and charts the inexorable rise of the band. The BBC gave the band a platform and support at crucial stages in their career, and The Kinks at the BBC plays like an alternate Greatest Hits, a musical growing up in public.
