(1730) Big man Tom Blip drops a newy on his label Blip Discs. "Sentimental Strings" flicks between exuberant, hands-aloft French house to broken and fractured Detroit beatdown in an instant, and via some brilliantly programmed fills and bridges (using that bit crushed effect wonderfully). The dramatic dynamics and quick fire song structure are gonna keep our ADHD infected youth on their toes and I'm guessing that big wobbly B-line is gonna work wonders on a festival rig. "There Were No Signs" is a more cerebral, deep house affair complete with killer cowbell (!!), luscious, meandering pads lines and a cushiony soft, delightfully welcoming soundbed; as if you're being invited into a bed made of freshly laundered sheets, duck down pillows and a mattress made of feathers.
