(17/14) Up next on Good Company Records is Tourist Kid's "Under Armour Suite", a power-ambient head cleaner in four parts, built for the club, and best enjoyed at high volume. Originally recorded in a sweltering bedroom in Hawaii, the A-side pits juicy synthetic piano chords against heavyweight clouds of crisp DSP that jitter and jostle at 125 BPM for this, local audio / visual artist Rory Glacken's first vinyl release. On the flip, the suite is reworked by Basic Mind, one half of GCR alumni Long Body, who lures a 'blowfly house' stomper from the original's minimal, digital dusk. Enigmatic, and covered in a kind of enchanted night time hue, both eerie and intriguing and a brilliant accompaniment to the A-side.
