"Few if any of the tracks on this 2006 comp overlap with pre-existing anthologies, and most will be unfamiliar to all but the most obsessive Northern soul enthusiasts. Collections of this kind always run the risk of sacrificing quality in the name of scarcity, but by and large the music here deserves digital resurrection -- highlights include the Videls' "Ain't Gonna Do You No Good," Derek Martin's "Show Me That You Miss Me," and Matthew Barnett's "If Your Love Is Real."

Disc is quite marked but does play fine.
