Just as Hardcore was getting cheesy and unbearable, "The Kicker" verges on happy, but ultimately keeps it deep with thick pads, a quite unique (for happy hardcore) FM-style lead synth, non-cheesy vocal samples, a tough kick and nice breakbeats. A hidden gem, and one of the last great hardcore tracks. Loads of energy in this track. Forget the flip!
