(2609) Chilean minimal maverick Ricardo Villalobos is back on Sei Es Drum with another one of his legendary remixes, and again the source material comes from Norwegian experimental jazz and folk outfit Building Instrument aka Mari Kvien Brunvoll's Band. He offers two versions of 'Kanskje', the first a sinewy and sparse mix of dark trumpet motifs, collapsed drums and gurgling aquatic textures that hark back to his Alcachofa days with eerie vocals drifting in and out. The second has a little more forward momentum but is just as otherworldly and trippy with plenty of his signature occult frequencies.
