'Teacher Fe Di Class' was a celebrated retrospective compilation capturing the pioneering Jamaican Dancehall and Reggae Deejay General Echo (also known as Ranking Slackness). The album primarily compiles his iconic work recorded between 1979 and 1980 for producer Dudley "Manzie" Swaby. Includes "Titanic", "Oil in a Babylon", "Foxy Mama", "International Year of the Child", and "Hot Reggae Music". General Echo was one of the major precursors to the modern Dancehall era, known for his witty, slackness-style chatting over heavy roots and dub rhythms. This release serves as an essential collection for fans of classic Jamaican sound system culture.
