(26/23) Bringing gospel depth tones to the label-come-church, the latest from Italian producer Gledd sees 'On His Way' setting things in strident motion with a thick, sampled gospel incantation, serving as the hoarse, belting centrepiece. 'It's Not That Easy' keeps the pressure on but loosens the feel, organ and stab lines curling on piquing lights and a faint horizon of kwaito/3-step emerging. The flippers keep at that pace but edge into an ongoingly live feel, 'Can You Hear My Noise' especially calling attention to the sample-fi contrast with its lowpassed vocals set to otherwise clear instrumentation.
