'Peyton on Patton' is a raw, foot-stomping tribute album dedicated entirely to the music of Charley Patton, widely regarded as the "King of the Delta Blues. Recorded live in a single day using just one microphone, the album meticulously strips back modern production to capture the gritty, authentic feel of the 1920s and 30s. Frontman Josh "The Reverend" Peyton channels his biggest hero through intense, finger-picking slide guitar and booming vocals, covering 13 of Patton's classic tracks. While it's largely a solo acoustic effort highlighting Peyton's reverence for the legendary bluesman, the rest of the Big Damn Band steps in on select tracks to add their signature washboard and 5-gallon-bucket percussion.
