Anorax perform a multi-track reissues homage to the Turbo label, one of many subsidiary labels of All-Platinum, the master imprint operated by New Jersey partners in crime Joe and Sylvia Robinson. The Robinsons are best known for founding Sugar Hill Records, laying the yellow bricks eventually to be trodden by the Sugarhill Gang, paving the way for hip-hop. But before was the primordial Turbo, as well as fellow small imprints Stang and Maple, whose original pressings are all very difficult to source due to poor early distribution. Every track here deserves a reissue, then, from the striding gorgeousness 'Attica Massacre' by Willie & West to the pan-fluting, anti-drinking anthem 'In The Bottle'.
