Sometime Rush Hour and Berceuse Heroique contributor Duster Valentine impressed with his first outing on Youth, a nostalgic cassette and vinyl EP full of dusty, sample-rich and bass-heavy club workouts entitled 'Dial #212 061 92'. Here he delivers a similarly minded sequel, getting things going via the thumping, thickset beats, sharp guitar samples, weirdo effects and deep, rumbling bass of 'Getting' Dub'. 'Hit me From Behind' is an r&b-sampling slab of murky early morning house heaviness, while 'Strobelight Honnies' sounds like a little-known, acid house-era chugger found on the B-side of dusty, long-forgotten white labels. Closing cut 'The Katg Chord', meanwhile, is deep, woozy, dreamy and thoroughly hypnotic - warm and spaced-out club music tailor-made for smoky basements at 4am.
