Second time around for Reggie Dokes' 'Electronic Dreams' EP, which initially appeared as a digital-only release back in 2021. For this 2025 vinyl version, it has been expanded with the addition of an extra, previously unheard track. It remains a fine set of club-ready cuts. Check first opener 'Gratiot', where addictive electric piano riffs, sustained chords and blissful female vocal samples ride a tough, locked-in deep house groove, before moving on to the thrillingly wild and wayward acid jacker 'Grand Blvd'. On the reverse, 'West Outerdrive' sees Dokes add trippy, spaced-out electronics to a techno style, kick-drum dominated beat, 'CoCo' is a brilliant blend of alien electrofunk and locked-in house, and 'Woodward' is an early morning friendly slab of deep, acid-powered techno.
